Only when the existing standard couplings and patented couplings cannot meet the design needs Design the coupling.Our country has formulated a considerable number of different types of standard couplings that can basically meet different torque, speed and working conditions in different structural types and specifications.However, the selection process still contains many different performance factors, including torque, shaft deviation, hardness, speed, space requirements, etc. The coupling needs to meet all of these in order for the system to operate normally.

      For example, a customer once asked me: What are the special requirements of the torque outer diameter shaft length and inner hole speed, and then which one is suitable?Such as plum blossom, star shape, drum tooth style.In fact, they all meet the requirements.Another customer asked me: the choice of size and model?First, determine the type of coupling according to the equipment. , According to the aperture of the standard coupling, select the appropriate equipment to match the shaft diameter at both ends of the motor.The distance between the end of the equipment and the motor should also be considered. (When engineers design the shaft diameter of the equipment and the motor end, they should lean into the aperture of the standard series coupling. So it is not difficult to find a suitable coupling).In order to let everyone choose the coupling, I will classify all the problems.

1. The size and nature of the torque to be transmitted and the requirements for the buffering and damping function.For example, for high-power and heavy-duty transmissions, gear couplings can be selected; for transmissions that require severe impact loads or to eliminate shaft torsional vibration, tire couplings and other couplings with high elasticity can be selected.
 
2. The working speed of the coupling and the centrifugal force caused by it.For high-speed transmission shafts, couplings with high balance accuracy, such as diaphragm couplings, should be used instead of eccentric slider couplings. 

 3. The magnitude and direction of the relative displacement of the two axes.When it is difficult to keep the two shafts in strict alignment after installation and adjustment, or when the two shafts will have a large additional relative displacement during the working process, a flexible coupling should be used.

4. The reliability and working environment of the shaft.Generally, couplings made of metal elements that do not require lubrication are more reliable; couplings that require lubrication are easily affected by the perfect degree of lubrication and may pollute the environment.

5. The manufacture, installation, maintenance and cost of the shaft.On the premise of meeting the convenience performance, couplings with convenient assembly and disassembly, simple maintenance, and low cost should be selected.
