Trial Production of Diaphragm Material of Diaphragm Coupling

Conventional diaphragm couplings are widely used. Before the research and trial production in this article, Hangzhou Steam Turbine Factory used domestically-made commercially available 1Cr18Niq stainless steel belts for trial production. As a result, the service life was extremely low and early failure occurred. Initiated the organization of Shanghai Materials Research Institute and Shanghai Jiaotong University to jointly tackle key problems, the Materials Institute is responsible for materials research, Jiaotong University is responsible for coupling performance testing, and Hangzhou Automobile Plant is responsible for manufacturing and working condition testing.

  This article dissects and analyzes the imported conventional diaphragms and compares them with domestic materials. It is found that the imported materials have a relatively uniform microstructure, finer grain size and fewer internal inclusions, while the domestically produced materials have a relatively small grain size. Inhomogeneous and many inclusions, domestic materials all fracture along the grain boundary when they fail, because irregularly shaped inclusions are attached to the grain boundary, which proves that the material processing technology at home and abroad is different.
  (1) Smelting:
  This topic uses vacuum induction furnace and electroslag remelting to reduce the inclusions to a small limit, and present a dispersion distribution, and improve its fatigue resistance.In the experiment, a vacuum induction furnace with a capacity of 25kg was used for smelting. The crucible material was lined with alkaline MgO. The ingot mold was baked at 400°C, and the vacuum degree during smelting was 0Pa. 7999°C began to melt and clear One minute later, the measured temperature was 1471°C. The steel was tapped at 1580°C and then remelted by electroslag. The surface quality of the ingot was very good.
  (2) Pressure processing:
  The purpose of pressure processing is to become a material, while changing the internal structure of the material to obtain strong and tough mechanical properties. The pressure processing method can be used to control the pressure processing when the process is formulated to determine the process parameters.
